Tony Cragg
Tony Cragg is one of the most important European sculptors of our time. The artist was born in Liverpool in the spring of 1949 and as a young man he experienced a strong fascination towards the artistic constructiveness. He first studied at the Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, before he went to the Royal College of Art in London at the beginning of the 70s.
Due to his talent Tony Cragg has received numerous awards, lectureships and has been represented on renowned contemporary art exhibitions on various occasions. In September 2008 the artist opened the sculpture park Waldfrieden in Wuppertal.
He lives and works in Wuppertal.
