Allen Jones - Showtime
To conclude the summer of 2010, Galerie Terminus will show in the middle of September a solo exhibition of the British Pop Art artist Allen Jones.
The Exhibition „Showtime“ deals with the vibrating impulses of the night life. Different scenarios of smoky night clubs, rocking jazz bars, fanciful theatre performances and exotic dance interludes underline the artist’s main idea: The Union, or rather the matrimony between a male and female beings. Enticing glances from exotic dancers, musicians blinded by their passion or swirling dancing couples – they all depict the continuous interaction between a man and a woman.
We will show besides sculptures and paintings from the series 'Showtime' also drawings and sketches, that served as guidelines for the corresponding canvases.
